Hi! I'm new to the forum but have been researching Mexico for some time now. I'd love to hear how it goes with Dr. Garcia. I'm leaning toward him but have been kicking a couple of others around as well. I'm in Merced so I'm not too far from you.

Hi Shereebarb! My name is Shannon... I'm having my surgery on the 30th with Dr. Almanza, so we will probably be housemates. I'm traveling with a couple of friends, but I don't believe they'll be staying with me. They have some friends in San Diego and will be staying there while I travel to Tijuana.

Are you traveling with anyone? Take care of yourself. I do look forward to meeting you at the end of the month.

Hi! I can't wait to get this done. I'm so looking forward to starting a new life... aren't you? I'm working on my passport....I'm obviously going to have to have one "rushed", but I think I'll be able to send off for it today. I just decided to do this in Mexico after having gone through the ringer with my insurance...and being put "in process" again. I've been waiting for an answer for over a year. I have a doctor's appointment this morning to let my gp know that I'm having the procedure in Mexico. I'm sure that'll go over like a lead balloon...but I feel like I'm waiting to start my life...I'll see you on the 30th!

I'm feeling fantastic today! I'm really sorry you didn't get to join us, we had the most fabulous group. 4 people who were supposed to go to the recovery house ended up at the hotel because the recovery house was full, so there were 6 of us (plus my mom and a guy's wife) at the hotel. We all really bonded and just had lots of fun together. You would have really loved the group and had fun too. My mom and Jeff's wife really got along too so I am glad because while we recovered they shopped and had fun. They ended up staying at the same hotel with us tonight (we were brought back to San Diego today) and we've been hanging out today. We took a long walk and the ladies had lunch while we sipped apple juice and a little soup. We go home tomorrow around noon and I'm anxious to see my kiddos again. I've really missed them a lot.
I feel good and hydrated today finally and have drank probably 1/2 of what I should be, which is way more than I got down the last 2 days. Stuff is going down well as long as I take it slow.

I had that happen to me with the birth certificate, what I did was call the dept of viral records were I was born and let them know that I need the long form for the passport and they will send you a letter and the application that your mother sent in to obtain your birth certificate and it will have on there the time of birth and all the info needed to get the passport and you can pay extra to have it sent the next day, I hope this help you and don't panic, and once you get it you send it off and they will continue to process your passport I payed the exposure fee to get it faster
