I'm getting sleeved April 22nd by Dr. Elias Ortiz. What is the area like round the hospital or hotel? Any shopping?

I wasn't outside of the hospital unless coming or going. The hotel is nice. They will take you shopping one of your Marriott days. Its fun. There are also places within walking distance to buy juices post op.

Yes, Walmart is up the street a ways, there's a nail salon across the street, and plenty of little shops around the corner. The drivers will take you to a pharmacy and several touristy shops next door to each other, then out to dinner at a Mexican food restaurant on your shopping day. The residents were very friendly, some want to practice their English with you and it seemed most everyone was conversant in English and happy to help you find your way around. If you're out walking, all the taxis honk their horn, presumably asking if you'd like a ride.
