Hi all. I take med for my hypothyroidism which say not to take calcium or any product with calcium for 4 hours after taking the meds. How am I going to take two calcium supplements a day along with my multi-vitamin when you can't take them together? Is it time to talk to the nutritionist?
Take them after lunch. I bring mine with me and take them after lunch.
I usually take my synthroid as soon as I wake then take vitamins at lunch and dinner.
My nutritionist said to take two calcium +D and Flintstones Complete Multi-vitamin chewables, but not to take the calcium with the multi-vitamins with the calcium as our bodies won't adsorb more than 600 mg of calcium in 4 hours. I think I have found the solution. I take my Levothryoxine first thing in the morning. I'll take my first calcium at lunch, take my multi-vitamins at dinner and take the last calcium before bedtime. Thanks for your help.
My endo told me that I could take my calcium 30 min - 1 hr after my Levo that I would be ok. I then take my other calcium at night.
