I have been looking for a good, fluid soup that I like and haven't found one in the stores. So here is a very tasty soup recipe that I made today, very healthy and a good way to get some protein in

    Roasted Vegetable and Ginger Soup

1 medium sized Yam cut in cubes
1 butternut or acorn squash cleaned and cut in quarters
    4 large carrots sliced
    1 onion chopped
    6 cloves peeled garlic
2 tbsp crushed ginger paste or 1 tbsp fresh grated
    1 litre Vegetable Broth (I used campbell's)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    3 tbsp cream
4 or 5 scoops of unflavored whey isolate, I use Isonatural

Combine all the vegetables, garlic, ginger and 1/2 the veggie broth in a large roasting pan. Drizzle the olive oil over the vegetables. Cover with aluminum foil and roast in the oven at 350 degrees celsius for 1 hour. Uncover and roast for another 20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Remove from oven and let cool.
Transfer all the ingredients to a blender, add the cream, protein and rest of the vegetable broth. Blend until smooth. Season to your tastes and add more broth/water until it is your desired thickness.
Warm only the amount you are going to use, stir often and do not overheat so your protein doesn't seperate
140 calories per cup, 13 gram of protein
