Hi, I'm new to the community, so I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area. I was wondering if anyone that had previous back problems before surgery has noticed any improvements since losing weight. I have had 3 spinal surgeries and am hoping that once I have surgery and begin to lose that my pain will improve.

I had a lumbar fusion and discectomy three years ago. I am only two months post sleeve but I have lost 44 pounds. Prior I was taking Aleve, Tylenol, and a muscle relaxer to cope with pain (I have other herniations and have degenerative disc disease). Since I do not take any of those daily! Occasionally I take some Tylenol and rarely my muscle relaxer. I think I'm doing better over all.
