    6 weeks I was told. Take it slow! Your sleeve needs time to heal properly. I was lucky that I never had trouble swallowing after surgery. I'm a year out & sometimes if I drink too fast I still get that ouch in the middle of my chest. Your very new to this so my best advice to you is take it one day at a time. Good luck!!!
