I'm doing well so far, just got back from vacation a week ago and ate a little more than I had been. Was worried I had gained 10 lbs, but was thankful it was only 3 lbs. That came off within two day, most probably water weight from sitting in a vehicle all day driving.
My next appointment in on 4/1, I meet with Dr Mancini for my surgical consult and then also meet with the nutritionist for an hour. I have my ED3 on May 5th. Dec 28th is when I really got serious about this, I gave up sodas completely...cold turkey...day three was rough but since then, smooth sailing. My starting weight was 282, my heaviest ever was 293. This morning I weighed myself and I weighed 253 (jumping up and down, haven't seen that # on the scales in a LONG time). Almost 30 lbs gone since Dec 28th!!! I figured the more I can take off now and get into a routine the better the outcome after surgery. I am using fitness pal and bought a fitbit zip to log my physical activity. It really helps keep you inline. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me. Hoping for surgery end of June or first of July. Where are you in the process?

I believe you can choose which doctor you would like to do your surgery. I have been told they help each other out from time to time. Also Greg Mancini was the surgeon who did my oldest sons gallbladder surgery. I work at the hospital where the Mancini ' s practice and I have never heard any bad comments about either of them. Both very nice surgeons and well respected. I have my surgical consult on 4/1/14, as well as an appt with the nutritionist. Then my ED3 on 5/5/14. I will then have to schedule my appt for first week in June and they will submit to insurance to get final approval for surgery. Hoping to have surgery around end of June or first week in July. Would love to have a sleeve buddy!

Hi! How are you? I noticed that you too have one of the mancini drs doing your surgery. I'm not sure who I have yet but I wanted to know what your experience has been thus far. It would be great to be sleeve buddies!
