  1. "good suggestions" I don't really have any for this faze as I hated the liquid diet. I was on Isopure ,Clear broth and jello. I have never been a soup eater so this part of the surgery really sucked for me. I did like the unjury chicken soup as a change up but couldn't eat a lot of it. I did go to a Mexican restrauant and eat the broth only of the meat ball soup and the tortilla soup... that was soooo delish! Jello with unflavored unjury in it was pretty good. if you go to the unjury website they have some things you can make and see if you like them. That's were I got the Protein Jello with unjury in it. I just forced down the Isopure but try some out and see if you like them they are a good source of protein. Right now the only thing you should be worried about is getting some fluids in like water or flavored waters to keep you hydrated. sip sip sip all day if you have to. Sugar free popcycles where my life line. I ate those all day long. Sorry I don't come in here offen but I will try and check in more. again Congrats!!!
Oh sometimes a heating pad on my tummy made it feel better but I'm a big heat person. I like warm things
  2. NICE!!! Congrats! I'm sorry you had to stay in the hospital so long. It looks like they got you back to normal. The crying afterwards is what I think everyone does. I did the same thing... I was like I'm going to starve and die why did I do this!!! but just like you said after that little hump it gets better and it only gets better and Better! I think after week two I looked at my legs and was like HELL YEAH I HAVE ANCLES!!! LOL
  3. Hello !i got sleeved Monday and boy was it a recovery! I am home now I was there at hospital 2 nite three days had complications with blood pressure and heart beat! When I got home I actually cried "what did I do" because I was not able to drink a thing.but as days went I feel much better and am getting the hang of this ! I was so happy to read ur posting and it was all so helpful! I was reading it thinking she is so right!!! Thank you so much! So I am on liquids for three weeks any good suggestions...Ty for all ur advice keep it coming please! Smiley I DID IT
  4. Oh you are getting your sleeve TODAY!!!! You will! The first couple of weeks are not too fun but just hang on, take care of yourself... Remember you come first. I still get some negativity from some people but I just say Nope Me first... I need to eat when I need to eat and what I eat is my business. Oh just a tip always carry something you can eat in your purse because most people eat a lot so they can go for hours without eating. For us that's not so good. I don't know how many times I have kicked myself for not having something to eat and was getting shaky till we got some food. I'm almost a year out so I always carry Jerky as its high in protein and is just so darn good . I know in the beginning you wont be away from home too long but on those liquid day's at least take some water with you where ever you go. I eat about 4 to 5 maybe even 6 times a day but really small portions. You got this!!! I love my Sleeve and now my Daughter wants one

Keep walking around it helps with the gas Take care!!

  7. OMG I haven't been on here in awhile...I had my surgery cancelled in October but having it Monday...so I am back on. But I remember you on my friends ...you look awesome!!!! Beautiful good for you!
  8. thank you...I like that! I am a open book too!! My son tells me mom why are you telling everyone your getting it just let them think...LOL i told him I am open book and no need to hide it!! Thank you but be prepared I will prob be asking you millions of questions.....glad to hear you feeling good.
  9. I'm feeling great! and you are so sweet! Thank you!... I was scared too. I never had surgery before so it was really scary but all in all it wasn't bad. I was alone too so even scarier... The Doctors are there and prepaired for anything. Not just your doctor but a few doctors are in there with you durning surgery. I had a really nice and understandable staff care for me during my stay from the time I was told to get undress to waking up. They were telling jokes and making me feel better too. They know your scared and try to take your mind off it...

I'm on my 6th week with no problems. The worst part is week 1-3 and its mostly dealing with your feelings towards food and what you can and can not eat. Don't be scared you will be well taken care of.

I'm an open book and tend to be blut... I will tell you the truth about my surgery and everything I have gone thru (Which has been pretty good so far) If you want to ask me anything please feel free.

    Have a good day Hun!
