  1. 2 random NSVs this week

    1. I had to lower my rear vision mirror as i sit much lower in my carseat with a smaller backside.

  2. 8 week update

    It has now been 7 weeks and 5 days since I was sleeved. Cant believe its gone so fast.
    As of today, I have lost 20kg (44lb) since I started the 2 week pre-op diet and 15kg (33lb) since my operation. I did have some stalls and the associated feelings of doubt but a I am now happy with how well I have done.

    The weight has come off my face, arms and back. I am really looking forward to it coming off my waist and thighs. I have bought smaller pants and jeans before surgery in ...
  3. I survived my first day back at work

    Today was the 13th day since my surgery, the last day of the liquid phase and the first day back at work. It went fairly well. I got into work at 8am and managed to be reasonably productive until about 2pm then i couldnt concentrate and kept forgetting what I was trying to do. Maybe I should have waited until the puree stage when I have more energy.
    I managed to get tuesday and thursday off as annual leave this week as I really dont have the stamina to do more than a days work at the moment. ...
  4. 24hrs post op

    Hello everyone. I am now sleeved!!!! Cant believe I went through with it.
    I thought it would be useful for others near their op dates to describe my process. And certainly for my records because I may forget.
    So Tuesday morning I got up at 7am and had a protein shake plus as much water as I could manage before 8am which was the time i wasnt allowed to eat and drink anything past.

  5. The night before the rest of my life

    Hi everyone.
    Well it is finally the night before surgery. In 17hrs time I will be in the operating theatre. I had a rather stressful 12hr work day today and now Im home I am so wound up I dont think I will be able to sleep. If only I could have a wine or something stronger.
    The past couple of days i have been constipated but that seems to be coming right. The surgeons not concerned and i worried they would make me have an enema lol.
    Anyhow I will probably post again tomorrow ...
