  1. 12 Weeks Post-op

It's been a little over 12 weeks since my surgery and I am down about 52 pounds from where I started. When I first came out of surgery the first few weeks I was thinking "What have I done?!" It definitely takes time to heal and for your brain to catch up with the fact that you can't eat a lot of food any more. Now, I am soooooo glad I had it done. I'm finally at a point were I can look at a certain amount of food and know I can't handle that much of it! I actually at this point ...
  2. 10 Weeks Post Surgery

Hit the 10-week post surgery date and feeling good. I think I have stalled again since I haven't lost anything for about a week, but will kick in again. I'm glad I didn't tell too many people that I had the surgery...it gets old when every time a person sees you they ask "So, how much weight have you lost now?" Ugh! That's just close family.

I am able to eat pretty much most types of food without any pain/irritation/nausea so that is good. I am still trying a lot ...
  3. 5 Weeks Post Surgery; First Stall Over

Glad to get through that stall--it was so boring! LOL
Down 36 pounds and finally getting used to the "routine" of being sleeved.

Yep, it's a new lifestyle and I have to get used to the fact that I won't be hanging out at the local pizza buffet any more! Wonder if they miss me. One great side effect of this surgery is that I don't eat out much anymore, so I am saving tons of $$!

    I haven't had a soda in a few months and glad I don't really ...
  4. Sleeves Done in Mexico

I am just wonder what folks do for pre-op preparation and post-op follow-up care when they have their procedures done in Mexico. I had my procedure done in my town of Houston, Texas and had to do a year of weight management classes before my insurance would approve the procedure. Those classes were invaluable and the facility that handled my procedure (Texas Laparoscopic Consultants) is great for any problems I may encounter. But I was wondering what a person does if they have the procedure done ...
  5. Twenty-four Days After Surgery

Had my surgery 24 days ago. Lost 31 pounds and have been stalled about the last 10 days. Not worrying about the scales, though. My dietician said you should pay more attention to your SIZE and MEASUREMENTS than the number on the scales, and I know it will start back up again. I'm glad to be losing slowly, I feel like it's healthier that way. My family members seem to be more interested in the weight loss aspect, asking how much I've lost every time I talk to one of them! lol

    I am ...
