  1. Nearly 18 months post surgery!

Its been a while since I posted anything, but as its now a new year I thought I should give an update.

First of all I can definitely say this was the best decision I ever made. I can barely remember how bad I felt after the operation

The weight has fallen off and has been stable around 67kg/148lb with a BMI of 21.6 for the past few months - a loss of around 37kg/81lbs . I am pretty happy with things and don't plan to loose any more weight. My original target was ...
  2. 1 month post-op and running out of clothes that fit!

Its been a while since I last blogged so here's my latest update. Its a month today since I had my operation!

I started introducing lumpy food a few days ago as I am post-puree stage of my diet.

I will be honest, I hated the puree diet more than the liquids only. Did not agree with me at all. I started having the occasional nibble on things like bits of chicken breast and even had a little taste of my Mum's very nice chili. It was good to have the occasional taste ...

However, although I have lost quite a bit of weight since I started the pre-op diet - I have lost nothing in 4 days. The previous ...
  5. 5 days post-op and feel much, much better!

Gosh - what a difference a couple of days makes.

I was feeling really bad on Friday and today, Sunday I am feeling much, much better.

Drinks are going down ok - a little achey every now and then. I have cut back on the pain medication.

Took my dogs for a 1.5 hour walk in the countryside this morning and was OK - felt a bit tired at the end, but nothing too bad.

Also, managed to sleep on my side (I am definitely a belly sleeper) with a ...
