Post surgery 2 week liquid diet

My surgery was a week ago yesterday and I'm already sick of the cream soup and diet yogurt for lunch and dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get past this until I can move on to the soft foods? I'm not hungry I just want to chew or crunch on something. I must have asked my son 15 times at the grocery store if he wanted any chips, thinking I could sneak a couple and no one would know.

This may sound weird, but I find that my chewable vitamins and calcium supplements are hugely satisfying in the chewing department!

Sometimes I get the yogurt that has fruit in it. Also you could try a banana. They are a soft food that you could puree so if you chew it good it should be ok.

Stay strong Lizzie you only have one week left and then step up to the next level. Remember the years it took all of us to get to the point of needing this surgery, dont blow it and set yourself back. Your doing great. kazzie

There's a little bit of chewing involved if you have cream of broccoli or cream of potato soup. Seriously, it won't be much longer...Keep up the good work! You can also have egg drop soup from a Chinese restaurant if you like that variety...just another option.

Dont worry, if you eat what your not supposed to it will come right back at you! You will be the one that suffers Just be patient and you will pass this phase with flying colors
