Hello Everyone

I have been struggling with being over weight since I was 6 years old. I've tried all types of diets and exercise and nothing has worked. They work for a while then I gain the weight but plus more.

I am at the point in my life where if I don't loose the weight I will not be a mother. I choose to be a mother!

On October 2010 I started the process of looking into getting the Gastric Sleeve done and since then I have lost 16 lbs on my own! I am so proud of myself but also know that this is just an encouragement for me to continue on this weight-loss path.

I am here seeking council and advice and pretty much just to set my mind at ease about this surgery.

Hi, I had my sleeve done on 18th Dec and am so pleased i had the surgery, i am 3 stone down thats with the pre op liver diet i had to do before surgery but its going fantastic - Go for it honey xxx

Hi, I had my surgery 8-24-10 and am down 58lbs. I love my sleeve.

How was the recovery process for each one of you? Was it really hard to follow the "diet" they ask you to follow?

all people recover different,but you will recover,and it is not hard being on liquids because you aren't hungry and you have a baby stomach............sip slowly all day long and take your vitamins and you will be fine.You will learn real quick what you can tolerate,the food that doesn't go down well when your at that point in recovery,you will know,it doesn't feel good,you may throw up..............eat slowly..........cottage cheese goes down great for me,also fish,I tried a teeny piece of pizza and felt like crap,the feeling is so bad you vommit,but that was my experience.
