i have lost three and a half stone since i had my sleve in mid september, i find it hard getting my daily protein and since the surgery i have had only one side effect which is the hairloss but hopefully it will not last too long, but on the bright side its fab buying new clothes as my body reduces and changes shape

bread is still an issue for me, red meat is ok as long as it is slow cooked, i also cant drink fizzy pop. i have shreddies for breakfast, then throughout the day i will drink a protein shake, lunch can be half a small jacket potato with cheese and then chicken and mashed veg (really small potion)in the evening, if i do feel like a snack it is either soft fruit or a protein bar. i try to keep to a routine as it is easy to forget to eat. i like you have not done that much exercise but that will change as i get lighter and more confident. x

Hi. I had my sleeve in London nearly 2 weeks ago. Not losing much but probably because I'm not drinking enough and I haven't done a number 2 in 5 days! Good luck to you. I hope it's all worth it! Nadine x

    Hi Nadine,
Im sorry your struggling, you need to ask the chemist or gp for something for the loo.
Also i think you need to introduce mushy foods.
At 2wks iwas eating mash ,porridge, carrots gravy.readybrek,weetabix.yoguat
just small portions your tum will tell u when to stop. take your time.
4wks i ntroduced solids. check my threads and see what i eat now.
I dont think the weight loss will be tbecause your not drinking enough.
I think you need to eat 5 small very small amounts of food a day.
I really hope this helps. and anything else i can help with im more than happy to .
    big hugs.

Thanks marvellous. Managed to get some laxative last night thank you and the 1.5kg I put on over the last 5 days has disappeared. I'm hoping it was because of that anyway as I can't bear the thought of not losing weight and not being able to eat what I like! I haven't been having low fat soups or yogurts though so perhaps that's also a problem. I have just found it so tough that I have opted for things that at least taste nice! Are you on low fat diet? The nurse told me if didn't need to be low fat as I wasn't eating much anyway but my food sheets say low far. Nadine x

I have had some lovely soups that I blitz to make sure there are no lumps. I made a Thai coconut prawn soup last night and have had all sorts of different soups. They are quite thick once purred but no bits. Also had yogurts a two cheeky chocolate mousses in last two weeks- but less than half of one at a time. It is so hard when I spend all day preparing food and clearing up food for my family. I can't wait to have a roast! Can you tolerate roast pork? What happens when you have red meat? I'm going to have scrambled eggs for lunch-can't wait! :-) I did think I would be losing more though. Maybe I'm just being impatient. I do get hungry though. Don't you? Nadine x

Hi, mousse is fine scrambled egg and omlette but only one egg sweetie, or it will hurt no bread. u have to wait till 3 1/2 to 4 wks for any thing sold .
    soggy stuff try.
    mash and gravy.
honest it will come but u need time. tey 6 meals a day but only a little. say half of yoghurt, half jelly etc, and go back to them later.heat it up after two hrs and try again if full.
    you must take it slow.
you will be able to eat everything in small quantities in few mths. its a small prce to look fab for summer.
i cannot digest red meat. it comes back. i like fish, chicken, turkey.
    hugs.

Thanks a lot. It's wonderful to talk to someone about it. I can't moan at home as this was my choice and it was hard convincing my husband it was the right decision in the first place! When did you start doing exercise? Thought I nay try a class or treadmill next week but scared of doing damage. Just read a post of someone that put on weight and plateaued for 4 weeks! How scary is that!? It would be great to feel fab on our Summer holiday. You're right! Nadine x

Hi, no exercise till you have 6wk check, gently walking and usal moving round hse. i havent done anything, i have bad knees so have to wait till its warmer.
I have lost 2stone in 7wks, so im happy. But the thing is cos we arnt eating much we cant boost are motabilism, so are body gets use to the amount of cals, no matter how little u eat. as soon as we are more mobile we should eat 3 small meals a day, not to fattening though and pig out at wkend.
your body is in shock thats why you havent lost weight yet.
i weigh myself every sunday after a pee in morning.dont forget vitamins.
    Its early days yet hun.
    take it easy. hugs.
