Today is my one month surgiversary, and I'm very pleased with my progress! Here are some accomplishments:
- Lost exactly 20 pounds since surgery
- Lost 3.5 inches from waist
- Lost 2.5 inches from hips
- Lost 1 inch from thigh
- Lost almost 2 inches from upper arm
- Lost almost an inch from calf
- Breast has not changed much
- I am walking or easy hiking almost every day and feel great (my sore joints are so much better)! I plan to start jogging, biking, and riding my horse in another week or two.
- I am eating for health and nutrition rather than stuffing my face with anything in sight due to cravings and insatiable hunger. This is a good feeling.
- I feel terrific and am very energetic!
- My self esteem has improved.
- As for water/liquids,I can get 64+ ounces every day. I keep a full jug of crystal light next to me and sip all day. No problems, but it took some getting used to (change of habits).
Okay, the bad things:
- One day I at something a little too fast and didn't chew enough. Well it didn't come back up but I wish it would have! I had a terrible pain and lump in my esophagus and kept burping. I needed to burp more but just couldn't get it out. It was a terrible feeling and I will not make that mistake again - ever.
- They are getting to know me by sight at the Goodwill store.
- I'm having trouble getting protein in and need to drink protein shakes and add protein bullets to my crystal light to keep the protein over 50/55.
- It's especially hard being vegan and getting in enough protein...
- I wonder if there will ever be a time when I won't have to spend so much of my day figuring out what to eat, preparing it by careful measurements, tracking everything, and taking supplements to make up the deficiencies? It takes a LOT of effort.
