I am 12 weeks out and wondering how many calories people are eating at this stage??
I'm 10.5 weeks out and I'm pushing it if I get over 500 calories in. It's a improvement from the 350-400 calories I was getting a few weeks ago.
I still have a hard time with dense protein in, if I get a ounce in I'm doing well. And that fills me for hours so it's hard to get anything else in to up those calories. I find myself snacking just to get calories in, not because I'm hungry and I don't like that as I think I'm setting myself up with bad habits. I'm hoping this will just continue to get better with time. Mybdream is to get 2-3 oz of protein in, AND a veggie. Lol

For me, no more than 800 and not below 500. x
Thank you guys so much!! I went home for the holiday and although family members were happy about my weight loss they were concerned about my calories. I stay under 650. I even managed to do this for thanksgiving!!! One more question. What do you do for exercise? They are also concerned that with Zumba and other workout I am burning more calories than I am eating!! Thanks for your support!!
One more thing. One good thing did happen!! In the small town I live in there is a restaurant that I like to visit. I was there last may and hid from people I knew because of my weight. It is a family business and I went to school with one of the owners. Well this time when we we leaving I reintroduced myself. (I would have been too embarrassed to do that before). He was shocked. He gave me a big hug and told me that I looked great!!! He was so nice!! I know that you guys would understand!!! It really made me feel good about myself and made me feel very lucky to have had this procedure!!! I am almost 1/2 way to my goal weight and I am looking forward to it!!
Another plus!!! I also visit my sister every thanksgiving. We also do black friday shopping. Last year we stopped at a upscale boutique and I could not squeeze myself into their largest size. I was so embarrassed and upset with myself! This year we stopped at that same boutique. I was able to fit into everything I tried on!!! I bought 3 dresses!! I was so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not bragging just can't believe the changes that are happening in my life!!! I am so happy I made this choice!!!!!
I stopped counting calories a long time ago and just focused on protein. At least for me, focusing on protein is all I needed to do. In fact my doctor wouldn't tell me how many calories I should be on until one of our early post-op chats that I said I thought I was on about 800 a day, then he told me (for a 6ft1 male) that I needed to be on 1000 to 1200 a day.
I probably was getting about 800-1200, but I have cut back on my carbs again. I was eating too many. They are empty calories as far as we are concerned. Now, 800 is the tops. I'm pretty comfortable with that and pretty intensive exercise. We need a calorie deficit to lose weight after all.
