OMG hubby has been walking already!

Today is one week since surgery, and my husband got so bored on Friday (first full day home from hospital) that he asked me to take him to Wal Mart the very next day so we could have somewhere to walk. Since then, we have gone walking together every day but yesterday, and then he walked alone in the neighborhood.

I can already tell such a huge difference. So exciting!

PS- right now, he's not having any pain or nausea. Is that normal?

Courtney, I'm glad to hear your husband is doing well. Yes, it's pretty normal not to have much pain after a week, and I have never (in four weeks) thrown up...a couple of times when I thought I might, but it passed. Tell him we said to keep up the good work!

I am glad that he is doing well that is awesome. It is pretty normal. I returned back to work 5 days after surgery and it was ok. No problems at all.....It is a pretty amazing surgery that is life changing........

So glad to hear that your huby is doing so well. I think it is pretty normal. I had my surgery in San Diego on the Wednesday the 15th of December and was driving myself home on that Saturday. Went Christmas shopping the next day and haven't stopped since. Walk Walk Walk.
