How long after surgery before a visit to chiropractor?

As my chiropractor adjusted my back today I realized that I had not thought about chiropractic care after my surgery.

How long after this procedure do you think I will have to wait until I can resume spine adjustments?

I will need to be able to lay on my stomach. 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, or ???

My doctor told me 6 weeks. It was hell for those six weeks. I intended to go as soon as I got past the 6 week mark, but after dropping some lbs, I suddenly didn't feel the screaming need to go. Today is my 3 month mark, and I still haven't gone.... although I do love what they do. :P

I am waiting 6 weeks but my pain has decreased significantly but I still need to go for adjustments due to arthritis in my lower back. I can't imagine my adjustment before that with all the abdominal healing going on. I guess it depends what kinda treatment your having too.

Not sure how long but you can be adjusted sitting up (pregnant women are usually adjusted this way) I am about to make an appt and its been more than 6wks but that is due to not having the money to go rather than the surgery.
