I was not put on a pre-op diet, only told to not gain any weight. From what I've read here, being on a pre-op diet really helps with recovery, so I would like to do one. How many weeks before surgery did you start your diet? I was thinking of starting 2 weeks before. The first week cut out carbs and sugar, second week do a liquid diet. What do you think?
What does a liquid diet consist of? Can you have soup?
