Hello Everyone... I’m wondering if anyone else is getting surgery on Feb. 8th with Dr. Almanza. I have many questions...what to pack is just one.
Hi, I would recommend packing three loose pairs of loose pants like pj's, yoga pants, leggings, loose shorts, no tight waist bands. Loose hoodie, it's still a little cold there at nights. Three or four loose shirts. You can always wear your clothes two days in a row. Slip on shoes like slippers or sandals. I didn't wear a bra the entire time i was there, only brought the one i wore. If you want to wear a bra while there i'd bring a front zip sports bra. The hospital rooms can get cold, pack a pair of socks or an extra blanket, some rooms have a small portable heater, the nurses will bring you a extra blanket if you need one. Gas x strips or chewables, a heating pad, alcohol pads for the adhesive. The hospital and hotel have wifi but it doesnt always work if too many people are on it at once at the hospital you might not be able to get on. Download movies from netflix on your phone, laptop, or tablet. I'd also recommend a battery brick to charge your devices.
You don't actually need gas x strips. Heartburn medications if you are one of the people who will have issues with heartburn. Gas X strips are not for the kind of gas you have post op. You just need to keep sipping and walking post op to help expel the gas from surgery. Somewhere along the line the gas x strips have become a WLS urban legend.
Pack a little pillow to tuck between your stomach and the seatbelt of the car or taxi.
Very convenient for bad roads or speed bumps.
Is that Asher in you avatar photo?
