4 months out and down 84 lbs =)

Havent posted in a while so I thought id check in and update my progress. Had VSG on 6/9/16. Exactly 20 wks today! To say I'm glad I did this is an understatement! Ive lost 84 lbs and I'm almost 1/2 way to my goal. Luckily I have had absolutely no issues other than the first 2 days in the hospital I was VERY nauseous and throwing up. Then I thought, WHAT THE HELL DID I DO?? After that its been smooth sailing! I followed Dr's orders as to reintroducing foods and so far there is nothing I cant eat. I had a week or so where I had multiple parties to go to and I had the poor me, why cant I shovel it in like everyone else was but I made it through! I am no longer taking 2 blood pressure pills or my sugar pill. I have good days and bad but the good far out way the bad and it continues to get easier to make better choices out of habit.

Anyone thinking of getting the surgery I say GO FOR IT!! Is it an easy way out? HELL NO, is it worth it? HELL YES!!

Thank you, happy to help. The worst is almost over. Follow doctors directions to the T. Enjoy watching your scale go down, however, don't be discouraged by the plateaus, there will be many. Your body wants to hold on to the fat. Keep a positive attitude, buy cheap clothes because your size is about to go down dramatically, I can now fit into a size 2 pants from a 16. Remember, protein first, lot's of water and walk. Chew your food really well and eat very slowly. Overeating is very painful, you will find out. Welcome to your new life.

girl, I saw that smile while writing. WOW WOW WOW so encouraging, keep it up and keep encouraging us. for me this 14 pounds in less than 2 weeks seem so unbelievable I feel like I'm lying as I write, ROTFL

It is an amazing feeling. Being able to control what you put in your mouth instead of the feeling one gets from stuffing our stomachs. I enjoy that feeling of control more than anything.

Yay!!! You're slaying it!!! You rock! So proud of you!!! Great progress pic. What a difference. I had that what the hell did I do moment in the hospital but luckily it was only for about an hour or so. Thankfully my pain and dry heaving passed quickly. Once again, congrats on your success!!
