    Default So...what's good?

Hello there! I am preparing myself for a visit to the Dr in the AM. What's a good 3 month weight loss total?

I know I've been told everyone's different, but I had surgery on 6/20 and am about 55 pounds lighter, is that good? Can anyone share their experience with me?

55 lbs in 14.5 weeks is almost 3.8 lbs/week. I'd say that's pretty damn good. Mazel tov!

Thank you for your support!! I went shopping with my daughter today. I took size 26 (my starting size)into the dressing room and the woman who works there looked at my like I was insane. After over an hour....I walked out of the dressing room with size 20!! I haven't been this excited in a long time! I enjoyed shopping today...that hasn't happened in years!

Sounds good to me. We get too anxious to lose it fast sometimes. I am as bad about it as anyone. Pre-op. my thought was "If I only lose 1 lb. a week, I'll lose 100 lbs. in 2 years" - of course, that is just waaayy too slow for me now! Last week my Dr. told me for men 12-15 lbs. a month was typical. I can live with that.

I think it sounds like an amazing success! I know it isn't going to be an overnight loss but one of the things that excites me most is that with the surgery I'll have a tool to keep it off after I have lost the weight. I have lost weight so many times before but always gained it back so I think just knowing that every pound I lose I will be in a much greater position to actually keep it off. Therefore, if I only lose 1 or 2 lbs a week I think that is 1 or 2 lbs I'll NEVER SEE AGAIN!!! THAT SOUNDS WONDERFUL TO ME!!! WAY TO GO!!! Keep up the great work!!

i love what you wrote mimi - like the thing we have to remeber is ths is a journey and not to get caught up in the end game. in doing that we miss out on all the small mini successes along the way that are also key to celebrate. i am sure hat is key to these ladies meeting the ultimate goal too - enjoying the ride. when i dieted before i was so stuck on my goal that i wasnt taking the time to learn about my body and what worked and what didnt - i was always living in a state of not good enough - like oh lost 10 lbs need to lose 20 so not enjoyingthe little stuff along the way that is one thing i am trying to do different here too love to all you guys
