Default 3 weeks 4 days Post-op Gastric Sleeve, weight stall!

Hello all! I'm officially 3 weeks and 4 days post-op! Time is going by fast. I weighed myself and I am still 177lbs. I guess I'm at a stall. It's a little depressing I have a hard time drinking protein shakes and my water intake is horrible. I don't feel hungry so I forget to eat sometimes. Is there another way to getting my proteins in. I guess that's why I have a weight stall because I barely eat enough and dont drinking a lot of water. Is it normal to have a 2 week stall? I'm praying some lbs drop off by my 4th week.

Three week stall is normal. Not drinking liquids and protein is not okay. Download an app or set timers on your phone to remind you to drink, and to get protein in. You can buy Unjury or Isopure plain powder and mix it in with just about anything, as long as it isn't too hot.

You'll get through this stall, and many others along the way. Patience and following the recommended eating requirements are key.

As people keep telling me....you're doing all the right things. It has to come off!! I'd say to try to be more aware of your protein and water intake...and stay positive and optimistic!! Look at all the people on this site who have lost mad crazy weight......and you will too. (I'm talking to myself too :-)

Hey there, a fellow Houstonian here. I found a drink that is a clear liquid that contains protein. It is Atkins Lift Protein Drink and I was able to consume it during the clear liquid phase of my diet. It has 20g of protein and comes in lemon, orange and berry. Good luck to you. I am 13 days post op myself.

Hey lady the atkins lift protein drink is really good. The weight will come off. Just focus on your protein and water intake. Can you believe it's really been 4 weeks @nacharl10.

Hey there - the 3-4 week stall is absolutely normal.
This may help folks understand it. I can't find the research we all did way back about 4 yrs ago to figure this out but this is the rationale.
You have fat that is easy to get at for your body to burn and fat that is deeper, kind of in a storage bin situation.
You have used up enough of your "ready" fat that now your body is moving things around.
It can't really do this AND drop lbs at the same time so it maintains a level of liquid, etc in your body that it needs to get the job done.
Just keep things level in the nutrition department and get as much sleep as you can to let it do it's work and it WILL start up burning fat again...
Thinking of it this way stalls become a good thing. Your body is reshaping, getting fat away from your organs, etc.
Hang in there, and keep on keeping on

CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

Thank you. It makes sense now. I will stay patient.

Three weeks...you are not in a stall, your body is simply trying to catch up to your already weight loss...keep doing what you are doing, don't mess with things at all...the weight will continue to come off, don't look for this to happen overnight and you will have a gratifying journey. Good luck.
