Someone pls help...3 weeks out, nausea unbearable

Hi Everyone, i had the sleeve on April 5. I had a few complications and two weeks later i was back in the hospital with clot on my lung and a hematoma in my abdomen, but those two thing pale in comparison to how this nausea is making me feel. Its constant, from the very beginning. Meds help some of the time but they really are a waste of time. Taking a sip of water makes me sick and i have this horrible metallic taste in my mouth so nothing tastes good. I wake up in the morning nauseous. All i got from the Drs office is that I have to keep drinking to get rid of it, but i cant if it mKes me sick. When i was in the hospital they checked for leak and i dont have one. I am really scared that this will never go away and i will never feel normal again. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do, how long did it take to go away? Im desperate.

I'd call your surgeon back and say what he/she gave you isn't working. It doesn't sound normal.

i have no experience with the complications - but I do have experience with not being able to handle plain water!

What worked for me was to drink alot of herbal tea, warm, not too hot. Herbal teas don't use real tea leaves, so no caffienne, satisfies water intake without that harsh metallic flavor. Some people drink crystal light for the same reason, but in the early months crystal light was WAY too acid for me. I never took anti naseau meds those early months, but did experience some queasiness. Drink those herbal teas (or flavored water, whatever you need to do to stay hydrated) and also take a good PPI like Nexium or Proslec.

I found water needed to be really cold. Also found that peppermint tea helped when tummy was upset
