Why oh why oh why????

I'm on week two of a plateau and it's about to kill me! If I see that scale go up and down the same pound one more time, I'm going to go nuts! Anybody else have this kind of thing happen. I am drinking the crap out of liquids and eating the crap out of protein. I have NO idea why my body is fighting me on this. Any ideas? Miracles? Magic? Voodoo? I'm ready for anything! Hehe.

Stay off the scale

The weight will come off. You stressing yourself out actually makes your body hold onto weight! Stay off the scale for the next week... have someone hide it. You'll be surprised how liberating it is!

ROFL!!! I'm sorry you're at a stall but from what I've read, they happen. Many around the first 4 or 5 weeks... you stay on the same number a while then break thru like GANGBUSTERS! Hang in there, Roman!) (I wasn't laughing at your situation but the way you wrote it!!)

Haven't stalled yet, but post op 4 days... I'm sure you'll hear my roar of dissaproval too

I feel your pain. I say every day that I am not going to weigh myself, then I weaken and do. I also need to put the scales away for a week. Very discouraging when scales read the same or even go up a pound.

Are you getting enough sleep? Min 7 hrs a night? If not your leptin levels will be off, and you won't lose fat as easily...also, you now the mantra, if you aren't losing pounds, you are losing inches.....

Maybe we should all have like SCALE LIBERATION WEEK!!! We shall not look at our scales and unite in solidarity. Eh, who am I kidding? I'd be on that thing in like two days tops. Maybe one. BUT, I shall try to stay away from that evil wench known as my scale!!!! ERGH!!!!

Each time that I've had a stall, I realized that my body was simply adjusting again.

I find that during the stalls I am definitely losing inches all over, and I switch to focusing on the tape measure instead of the scale. I also definitely try to increase my activity level.

I just finished a three week stall, I got out of it while on a cruise ship. First time in my life that I've been on a vacation and lost weight. I was walking and jogging daily, plus staying up at night playing cards, so, I think that the extra activity got the "fat burners" cranked up again.

Hang in there, the plateau will end before you know it.

So I'm right at that 4 week mark and haven't lost a pound! Tell me this is normal. I'm doing the protein and liquids, but while I'm suppose to be on soft foods I'm still having some discomfort when I eat. So it's not like I'm overeating. In fact most days I PREFER not to eat anything and just stay on liquids/very soft foods. Help...tell me this will pass and the weight will come off. I don't think I could take a 3 week stall. I'm looking forward to the break thru like GANGBUSTERS stage : )

I feel you. I've been at a stall for the past 5 weeks and I just dont know what to do anymore. I getting ready to just give up. I haven't lost any pounds and it's driving me crazy. I've tried everything already and nothing.

Make sure you're getting your protein and water in. Those are the most important. Other than that, STOP GETTING ON THE SCALE!! This surgery has guaranteed results... its literally impossible to not lose weight with it. Give it time, eat what you're supposed to... which means if its time for you to move food stages, then you need to start doing that. Just stay off the scale, stop focusing on the weight loss... keep yourself stress free and it WILL happen. Stress creates cortisol which is well known for weight gain. There's nothing you can do to make it go faster. Your body will release the weight when its in a good place and the stress you're putting on yourself isn't going to do that.

whoo hoo... I was told I couldn't stay on liquids because it was too easy to get more calories. What kind of discomfort do you get from eating soft foods?
