    Default anybody else?

Anyone else experience not being able to throw up when you feel like you need to? I'm almost 6 months out and I have not been able to throw up....I've had the flu....I've felt like something didn't agree with me ....then the urge to throw up but no matter what I do its like those muscles won't contract anymore for it to happen. Pre surgery I could throw up on demand if I wanted to. Sorry for too much tmi. I just need to know if it's just me or not. It's so weird.

I was just the opposite for a long time. I threw up almost nightly. After surgery the meds I take at night (still) two years later make me sick and I used to throw up every time but now I can't throw up to save my life

strange thread. I haven't thrown up in 30+ years and if I never throw up again until the day I die, that's ok by me.

seems to me not throwing up is a good thing.

I've hear this from others, yes. Also have a friend who had hernia repair without WLS and she can't throw up either. Personally, I find it harder now, but I can if I need to. I also had hernia repair as a part of my surgery. I think when they "fix" a hernia, this can happen. And not being able to throw up can be a bad thing. This is your body's way to get rid of something that's making it sick. I've had a couple of times post up where throwing up was the only way I could get relief from something that really didn't agree. I was SO grateful to get rid of it!

Don't worry about hurting my feelings because I guarantee you not one bit of my self esteem is tied up in your acceptance.

Well, I'm not saying not being able to throw up is a good thing. I'm saying that not throwing up is a good thing.
