    Default No room?

Tomorrow I will be one week post op. I have no urge to consume anything, water, protein drinks, nothing. I feel totally full all the time. How do I overcome this?

I'm 2 days ahead of you. I haven't really felt like eating either. I have been able to push myself to get my recommended protein and water in the last couple of days. I think some of that full feeling is just swollen stomach from the surgery and it will start to go away soon I hope.

Just keep trying. Sip Sip Sip! It will all get better as the days and weeks go on.

I lost 25 pounds on my (2 month) pre-surgical diet and my weight the date of surgery was 290.

I'm 3.5 months, and I still struggle with this. Everyone is different, so you might get your appetite back, you might not. My mother was sleeved 3 weeks after me, and she gets hungry frequently. I on the other hand, have to force myself. I get a little hungry around dinner time, but that's about it. The best thing you can do is eat small amounts frequently. Even if you can only stomach a few bites, that's fine. Then 3 hours later take a few more bites. Be sure your taking multivitamins, and I would definitely suggest at least one protein drink a day (GNC Lean Shakes are the best I've found; they don't have that strong whey taste) And really push your fluids. I've found water is easiest to drink when it's ice cold.
    Good luck!

Its normal, it is not something to be overcome. Stay hydrated. Consider fluids and protein drinks as like a prescription... sip sip sip. It gets easier over time... to consume more. Think of these early weeks and months as a chance to "get over" food as a recreation or crutch or whatever non nutritional purpose it served in your life.
