Hi all! Just joining to get good info from all you experts. My surgery is on Sept. 11. I am so nervous, but excited to get it over with. Had preop appt today. Noticed as I was driving home that I might have a fever and my ear was hurting a little, took 3 Advil and feeling better. Now I'm nervous they will cancel surgery if I have a fever. Any opinions?

Drink emergen-c and maybe take some vitamin c pills, alternate them but fever can sometimes mean infection so try 2 get it cleared up right away!! Congrats on your up coming surgery btw!

Do what you can to fight off getting sick, within the rules of pre-surgery (whatever your specific rules are, like no fluids 12 hrs before). If you're sick, they will postpone. While it will seriously suck, you're better off waiting, for your safety. Good luck!!

Feeling much better today. Maybe it is the stress and running around yesterday with preop visit. I was a nervous wreck.

Oh wow. i really hope it is nothing. But, if it is... as horrible as it sounds! your best bet is to post pone surgery. So glad you feel better today and praying it is nothing and all goes well tomorrow!
