Default 4 months post OP and only lost 44 lbs. Am I being to hard on myself and lack all the energy everyone else say they have

    Hello WLS Family,

I wanted to find out if I am being to hard on myself. I have only lost 44 lbs since post op. I started pre-op 286, pre op 276, and post op now after 4 months 244. Is that good bad or ugly. I just started working out. 3 days per week, I hope to up it to 4-5 days a week from now on, I weigh daily and my weight is up and down weekly. I get hungry every 2-3 hours but of course can only eat a small amount, I think I am thirsty and need liquids. Immediately after surgery I was hungry, is that hunger or thirst....

I had no complications at all since post op of April 21st, need to follow up with a Doctor.

    Please advise out there...folks,

Love You for all the encouragement.

If this were last year, and you had dropped 11 lbs a month for 4 months, wouldn't you be all kind of excited?
You're doing great It comes to about 1/3 of a lb a day.
If you go to the fridge and take out a 5 oz burger and look at it and realize that is how much fat is falling off your body every single day, you might feel better

Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

I think it is pretty awesome! I started working out/ power walking at 3 weeks. Once you get going with that you are going to feel a lot more energy and start seeing a lot more progress. Even though I think your progress is freaking amazing, I understand the frustration especially if you are feeling tired all of the time. Drink your water, I try to get at least 64-80 oz in a day. If you start working out, you will need a lot more. Also increase your protein a little bit to eat after your workout because your muscles need it to heal and it will help with the weight loss also. Again, you are doing more than fantastic and you should be proud of what you have done. ps.....go to the store and pick up a 40 lb bag of dog food, you will understand just how much you have accomplished.

    You have done great! Congrats!

Have you used an app like fitness pal to track your intake? Maybe your calorie intake is higher than you realize? How much liquids are you getting in? Even after over 2 1/2 yrs, I still have to sip all day or else I get dehydrated, especially this time of the year.

Another thing, while I know is it hard, you need to stop weighing daily. That is messing with your head! Trust me! Once I stopped doing that, things got better for me.

Best wishes! You are doing great!

Thank you to all my GS Family out there for the weight loss encouragement as I start month 5 on September 1, 2014. I am feeling a lot better after hearing from all of you and I am also happy about all of your great successes, I hope to meet you all in October in San Diego? So many phenomenal testimonies. Amazing, wow, and thank God for all of you.

I start working out with a trainer at my gym tomorrow, and I am pretty excited. 80 more lbs to go and 44 down, I guess I am doing good. I give myself a until this time next year to see what has happened.

    Much Love All,

    Here's to Weight Loss Victory......

    Char,
I took your advice and stopped weighing daily and trying to up my water, and exercise, my body aches still, a lot, but I take pain pills once a week that I got from Mexico? 1 time a week. Otherwise, all is well and feel better, every day. You weighed what I weighed or close to it, and now you are under 200 lbs awesome for you, how did you do it, what did you do? I see it took you a while right? Please share with me what you did?

    All The Best,

    Senorita Lolita
