Gallbladder surgery

I am just curious how many of you sleevers have had their gallbladders removed? Did hurt any worse than having your sleeve done? I found out I have stones about 3 months ago and am gonna have the thing yanked out soon before my insurance renews so that I don't have to pay for it.

Got my removed 3/21/14. Wasn't worse than sleeve. Was better for me. Went back to work the following Tuesday, removed the Friday before. Good luck. It's very routine procedure.

Last January (post 26 months) I had to get it out. Full of stones. Scheduled it for when I had vacation planned. Out for 4 days. Not sick feeling at all and no feeling of inflammation at all. Nothing stronger than tramadol for pain for 2 days then tylenol. Good luck. Linda

Had my sleeve surgery in April and my gallbladder out in July. It was a breeze for me. Day surgery and was up and going the next day. No problem sleeping on my sides after gallbladder surgery (took 2 weeks to sleep on my side after sleeve surgery).

I had it removed when I was sleeved. No problems. My gallbladder acted up now and then and I didn't want another surgery a few months later.

I, also, had my gallbladder removed at the same time as sleeve. I just had an extra drain tube but not sure there was actually any pain. In fact, I haven't had any pain at all - except for the gas.

I had my gallbladder removed a little over a year ago. I would say my surgeries were comparable as far as pain, mobility, and recovery go.
