Are you measuring? I hardly lost weight last month, but lost two inches in my waist, an inch and a half on my breast and so on...

I find I'm more stalled than not and it does wear on you. I was losing inches at first but I haven't in a month now. My head knows the facts, It has to come off. Not my head, the weight. But my heart has been broken to many times by failure and I the doubt worms its way back in saying 'you're not gonna lose all your weight, you can't do it'

Then I get on here and search stalls and I watch you tube videos on stalls and it helps. I mean, its not like I can go pig out or anything.

But! Occasionally I would like to hear someone say ' hey I lost most of my weight and ate what I wanted just a bite at a time. Low carb is great but if it doesn't work for you then the low calorie thing WILL.'. Come on somebody just say it! Lol! Sigh, it must be pms time again. Seems like I just had that last week! My face hasn't even cleared up from the last one yet!

it will happen, I'm certainly not regretting it! I appreciate my sleeve all the time and feel grateful when I feel the stopping point.
I'm gonna post this before I erase it. Gotta take the bad with good!

This week I am just dragging, people who I meet are like wow you really have lost weight, followed by you look so tried.....or hmmm you should really get some clothes to fit you now....(which bothers me a tad) I still fell as big as ever is that normal?

so what's with the tired??? Is this normal and does it stay that way??? Or do you get re-energized at all??? Could it be that folks are at 5 months and begin adding more carbs into the mix? Whenever I eat carbs, I have zero energy.......unless it's 'good carbs'. Just wondering........

Think imma go back a few steps, go with the shakes (shudders) and soups I know it was very helpful before surgery and after wasn't hard to do. I am finding I am becoming lazy at what I want to eat because I can't eat alot of anything I seem to want instant food which isn't always good. Going to journal to make sure i do eat cause I have been skipping meals which also is silly and making sure i am drinking which I kinda think I "might" be lacking there as it has been so hot lately could be zaping all of us....worth a thought...... I'm not one for taking my b-12 regularly so writing things down will also help me there too.... dang I seem like such a slacker!!! LoL...admittion is half the battle right?! LoL...Any tips are welcomed, please....Oh fyi...I have a CRUISE in a month (seven days to Mexico, so worried about the food/ drink any advise?)

Lifting weights increases your weight on the scale. I just read Dr Alvarez"s book "The Gastric Sleeve", and he says stalls happen when eating too many carbs and too much sugar.

Well I'll see I suppose.... but I do know it's been made really clear to me several times that 25-30 gms of carb a day is maximum for the duration of this weight loss journey. It must be really frustrating to not see anything happening but I bet with all that exercise you are gaining lots of muscle! Are you getting enough sleep? At least 8 hrs a night if not more? Until your body gets enough uninterrupted sleep to do it's basic regenerative work it won't bother to start working on fat cells. Here's one article about it, but I can attest that during my pre-surg weight loss I can literally lose a lb by sleeping 2 hrs later in the morning or getting to bed 2 hrs earlier.
    How Sleep Affects Your Weight
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

Loving this thread. Makes me realize it is not if a stall will happen but rather when it happens.

I like the advice of powering through. Journaling food. Taking the b12. And water. That advice seems to show up a lot.

I know then I had another gastro surgery a few years ago. Not weight loss but involved similar scope and systems. I had bouts of low energy for a year. The only thing I could do is rest.. then start again.

I also like to talk to people who are years out who love their life and recommend the surgery. They don't remember the stalls so much they remember they used to be huge and now they are not.

Hang in there and have a great day everyone

Any weight loss plan will stall eventually. Your body adjusts to the calories/fuel and your weight stabilizes. You either need to amp up your metabolism by temporarily taking in more calories or amp up your fuel-burning by increasing calories burned, ie exercise.
