Any negative feedback about Dr. Alvarez?

Hi, I am considering having surgery with Dr. Alvarez. Is there any negative feedback???? I can only find positive reviews but I am looking to see all sides of peoples experiences.

I don't have any negative feedback and didn't use him...but I came close. I just decided I didn't want to leave the country and my husband didn't want me to.

I'm assuming you are self-pay since you would be going to him? I just wanted to state that my surgeon was EXCELLENT and the cost was $12,200 in Dallas. I think Dr. A is around 8k or so, so thats quite expensive comparatively speaking for going across the border.

If I were to go to Mexico, he's who I would've chosen...

Thanks Melrose! Yes, I am self pay. THe price I have been given here in NC is 18K. Yes, Dr. Alvarez is expensive compared to other Mexican surgeons but I am not out to go to the lowest bidder, so to speak. I love that Dr. Alvarez specializes in the sleeve and he has done over 6,000 surgeries. This experience makes me feel very comfortable!

Agreed. I definitely don't want to imply that you should go to the lowest bidder. My point is that my surgeon has a very reasonable price and a state-of-the-art hospital and the care was phenomenal.

Dr. A's YouTube channel is very educational, though.

You may want to look into Dr. Ryan Heider at the Lake Norman Surgical Weight Loss center in Mooresville, NC. I had my surgery a little over a year ago and can give a very high recommendation. I was not self-pay, but they offer that option at $11,900.

My surgery with Dr. Alvarez is May12th, so follow me and see how I'm doing! I am a Registered Nurse, I did extensive research, and I am confident I made the best choice.
