    Smile Sleeved 10 days ago

Hello all, I was sleeved on 11/9/2010 and man oh man was it rough for me. I had to attend 6 mths worth of classes and nothing prepared me for all the rapid changes my body and mind would go thru. Everyday is getting better but I do have my hurdles. The biggest problem I think I'm going to have is Thanksgiving, my Dr is really aggressive and for the next 3 weeks I'm on a very limited diet but I'm hearing people say they can blen up their food, is it possible?

Also my goal weight was 160 lbs but I'm now below goal and hopefully holding at 151 and not just in a stall

Welcome to your new world. Of course you can blend food but do you really want to? This is one thanksgiving out of how many? Eat what you can and wait until next year when you will know exactly houw to approach it with a sleeve.

You can have ground turkey with gravy if you put it in a food processor.
I scheduled my surgery for the end of September so I wouldn't miss the holiday dinners. Grind up about 2 oz. of turkey. Put the gravy on it after it's chopped up in the food processor. Lorna

I hated the soup broth stage, to me the beef broth was ughhhh! So I basically had just the Chicken Broth. But When I couldn't stand it anymore I got some stage 3 jars of baby food. The first bite wasn't good, but thats when common sense told me that their was no seasoning in baby food! lol....anyways, a bit of Salt and Pepper later, and Bam! I had variety again! Oh and the sugar free jello sucked too! So I changed to the sugar free pudding! Much Better! Hope this helps! Oh and congrats! It only gets easier!

My husband was telling me to try baby food but the only ones I like is the bannana one and my Dr told me to stay away from fruits till my next visit. But let me tell you Im so missing my meat right about now, lol. My mashed potatos, eggs and tuna are getting really old. After this I bet I will never have those again

Well now being a month out I can introduce chicken, turkey, shrimp, fish, fruits but no grapes, and salads with light dressing. Still no red meat, ahhhhhhh. I'll be on this stage for 2 months. I seriously think my Dr is beyond strict because Im hearing other people eating what they can tolerate at 1 month out. But Im sure he's doing this for my well being or at least he better be

I assume you could always just try going against what the doctor says & find out the hard way?

Haaa Haaa heck no Im scared to death of what might happen. Even though I say I want red meat back and so on I'm actually really scared to try it. My new food list I have only tried chicken and let me tell u that sits hard in my sleeve. I can feel it go all the way down and then the brick hits. So be careful with solid foods when you get there
