Default Gallbladder removed laparoscopically before having VSG

Has anyone already had their GB removed? What about the scars already there, do they go in to do the VSG in the same place? Just curious

I had mine removed some years prior and they go in more places, over to the left, and a bit higher. Hope this helps.

It does!! Thanks!! I was just wondering the positioning and everything. I knew they probably shouldn't go through existing scar tissue so I was a bit "hmmmm" about it.

Mine was removed 2 weeks after my VSG. They were able to use one of the same holes. Basically I have 9 stab wounds I'm recovering from. They are on opposite sides.

My gallbladder was removed two years prior to my sleeve surgery. The surgeon used new sites for the sleeve.

I had mine out seven weeks before my sleeve. They reused some of the same holes, but they needed a couple more as well.

Honestly, I don't even notice the scars. The skin is so loose after losing so much weight, picking out the scars is almost impossible.

Weight on day of surgery: 318.4 lbs
