So today after 21 months I have finally met my personal goal of 140lbs. Now I have to say that for the better part of the past year I haven't really tried to lose those last few pounds. I had already met my surgeons goal at the time of my one year checkup of 147lbs, and was maintaining around 144-145. Over the holidays I even went up to 148-149.
However one month ago my life took a change I wasn't prepared for and as a result I have dropped between 8-9 pounds. I just couldn't eat sometimes due to emotions. I have been trying to drink protein shakes even when I couldn't eat. Still not doing good some days eating and other days I do okay. I do not recommend this for anyone, but I guess I will say that from the days that I was on primarily liquids I now know the pouch test works well.
So I guess for a while I was very comfortable at 144-145 and was curious about getting to my personal goal, but I didn't have a real burning desire to do so. I still really don't, but do have a bit of satisfaction from doing so.
