Hunger Hormone???

Does anyone know when / if the hunger hormone comes back? I was told that they actually remove it during the sleeve, and apparently its true because I am never hungry, but it is my understanding that it usually comes back. Just wondering when to expect that?

Everyone's body is different. The bulk of the hormone produced comes from the part of the stomach that is removed but the hormone is still produced in other areas of the body. So, of course, some people experience hunger sooner than others.

True hunger came back for me about two months out. I eat something every three or four hrs now. It keeps me from getting too hungry which for me, would lead to overeating and eating too fast.

It is true, we are different, I experince mine and I'm talking about really feeling hungry about the 6th month, at that time I seem to be able to eat more and if you are not careful you will increase even this with time. I lost a good amount of the weight before all of this happen. So you must develope good eating habits now, or you will fall back to old eating habits. I speak what I know. Over time you will be able to eat more than you are right now. Be aware of the slider food, most of these are the one that has the most cals. Have not figure out why this go down so good and are not good for you. Stay focus you are going to be challanged. I think it is the body way are trying to get back to that comfort zone. But if you are determined you will be like some of the others that cought on early and have reached their goals and are mantaining. As for me I've have not gotten to my goal yet, But I will, I know I had a lot to say, but I just want you guys to know this thing has to be looked at for what it is a tool. You will begain to feel those same feeling about eating as you did before the surgery, You just have to again be deternined not to fall back into where you came. If I had to do it all over again (I hope not lol) I sure will, I have no regrets, Oh I'm lacking about 15 more pound before goals, I'm not losing anymore like I did last year have been doing a lot of bad eating, keeping the weight up in down, but best know I'm getting my focus back and by the summer I'm hoping I will have reached my goal. My hunger never went away. I am only hungry when I actually need to eat. The head hunger is much worse IMO.
