I feel fantastic!!! I don't feel sluggish anymore and I actually like getting out and doing things! I eat mainly protein dishes. Chicken, beef, etc. If I want a "snack" I have found some great options at Costco. They have a Soy Mix that is good and an Organic Trail Mix. I rarely feel hungry anymore, either. It's like life no longer revolves around what food is going to be at a gathering...now it's revolving around who will be there!

For me, it took about a month maybe a little more for the head hunger to pass. I mean it is forever a mental struggle, but I actually cried and went into a depression about 2 months after surgery...My Doctor called it the "Oh Sh*@ moment"....It did pass and It is so much better...I agree with the comment that get-togethers aren't about the food anymore, but the people.....Not a easy transition, but it will come...Just keep plugging along!!

Head hunger is ALWAYS there. I struggle the most at night. You just have to figure out the triggers behind the head hunger. I found drinking my protein shake at night helped the most. You can do it!
