I have to say that for me, yes sugar makes a difference. Also, are you tracking you food intake? Do you measure and weight everything? Are you still exercising? All of these things matter and you have to make the choice every day to make the effort to be healthy.

Are you changing shape still? I am a month behind you and found that I have the same problem, I have increased aerobic exercise and starting to tone more, was mainly just walking and swimming. Also my eating habits had stopped being as good as they need to be, so back to tracking, no liquid with food etc. I guess the closer we get to goal the harder we have to work, only natural. Little slip ups have big consequences, not worth it, speaking of myself here, but maybe you need to tweak it too??
I am heading back to a dietitian to touch base and get a few ideas to... Best of luck
Don't get discouraged. I had my surgery about the same time as you. I lost only 40 lbs and have been in a stall for 4 MONTHS. Talk about a slow loser! But discouraged, no. Frustrated, yes. But this week, I finally broke my stall and lost 8 lbs and have broken 200! I've got 23 more lbs. I'd like to lose and believe I will, but not quickly. We are all different and lose at different rates. I don't like to give advice, because I am sure not an expert. But I would suggest that you religiously track what you eat, keep your protein up, and your carbs down. You might even try upping your calories a few days a week and then lowering them a couple days a week. For some reason this seemed to break my stall. You can do this. Keep the faith.
Yes having sugar is not a great idea. I too have been home to England and picked up a few bad things to eat. Just had my 6 monthly check up at the hospital and I said I craved to have some sugary things every now and again. So I was advised to drink the protein drinks for 2 weeks to wean myself off sugar to which I said no. I hate the protein drinks. I guess the only way is to go back to basics and cut out sugar. Not get into the habits that got you into trouble. Doesn't mean you can't have sugar ever but it is probably best practise not to have it regularly.
All the best

I actually could not disagree more with the responses on here. Having said that, I will say that everyone's opinion has merit in their own world. The one constant I see on here is the reference to nutritionists. In my very own experience, I have found that NUT's get in the way, stay in the way and do everything in their power to continue to be in the way. I mean, if you are successful, you don't need them....right?
I won't bore you and and the other posters in the vine with a bunch of rhetoric. Some of the folks giving advice on here have been sleeved for over six months so I have to believe that they are giving advice coming from a place of experience.
I just happen to disagree with them 100%.
It was when I was in the middle of a seven week stall that I started analyzing everything that was going on in my life that was sleeve related. I changed up a bunch of things and got into turbo lose mode. I stayed there until I hit my goal weight. In other words, I went another 5 months without a stall and lost over 125 lbs during that time. I've lost a total of 240 lbs and have been sleeved for almost 18 months.
If you are interested in my story, look up my posts. Short of that, here is my mantra
You are not on a diet.
Since you are not on a diet, you cannot be failing at a diet.
Eat protein until it comes out of your ears. Protein is the key.
Drink no less than 64 oz of WATER a day. Not Diet Coke, not protein shakes, not iced tea or sports drinks. WATER. It's also a huge key to success.
CARBS ARE YOUR FRIEND...NOT YOUR ENEMY.
And absolutely, positively, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever overeat.
I agree with poster, protein protein protein. This is what makes you full. Also, not sure about your instructions, but mine were to exercise 30 minutes a day, are you doing that? The weeks that I slack on my exercise are the weeks I don't lose much. It doesn't have to be very hard exercises, just spend 30 min a day moving.
Congratulations on the 55 lbs lost so far!
