Did you wish you had stayed additional days in TJ post op?

It was advised that I would fly home the third day after the surgery. I am considering staying at the hotel one addition day, just to rest a bit more before the flights home. Did you wish you had stayed more time healing before flying home? I don't know if I will be bored and regret not being home sooner.

I will be spending 2 nights at the hospital after surgery and then 2 more nights at the hotel.. I am assuming this is to give me more healing time and so they can check in on me a while longer.

I had my surgery on a Monday and while I could have left on Thursday I spent an extra day in San Diego with my mother... I felt good.. We walked through Old Town and shopped, etc.. I was glad to have the extra time before flying home... Highly recommend an extra day if you can do it!

Yes if you can but stay in San Diego like barrbdoll said. i couldn't wait to get back to the states. i didn't have a bad flight per say - nothing re: the surgery, i was starting to get a cold and I was TIRED.

I would have spent some more time there, do some shopping.

Thanks everyone.
I've already been to San Diego and don't plan to shop or sight see.
So I think I'll stick with the one night hospital, 2 nights in hotel option as it sounds like 2 nights in the hotel is enough to be fine flying the hours home.

Only to shop!! I was completely fine coming home, and I had 10 hour travel day, then I drove a 4 hour drive home from the airport. No issues.
