Need help sleevettes

2 weeks out losing lots of weight on positive side but losing ground. Nausea a lot for last week. Even broth and jello diet. I nibble when not nauseous. My doctor is worthless since I was sleeved in Tijuanna. Protein has been 40 tops this week. Suggestions? I'm not eating anything not on the lists.

See if your general practitioner can give you a med for the nausea. Most US sleevers leave the hospital with a prescription for a nausea med to be used as needed. I'm at work, so I can't tell you what med it was - it is at home in my medicine cabinet. Controlling the nausea so that you can get your liquids and protein in is important.

As for food and protein, we were allowed cheese during the first 4 weeks. String cheese sticks or reduced fat cheddar have 7 g protein per ounce. I am also still loving the syntrax nectar protein drinks. They are not thick (especially when mixed with water) and they are not overly sweet in my opinion.

Ask your pc for Zofran. Great for nausea.

I was told that the nausea was due to too much acid in my belly and instructed to up my pepcid to 1 pills a day. It did the trick! Hope you are feeling better soon. I am really just starting to feel like I am getting the hang of this....so it does get better

Even though you got your surgery somewhere else, I'm sure you can find a bariatric specialist locally who can help you with your specific needs. Your regular doc might not know everything about it. good luck!

I agree, the excess stomach acid could be the culprit. Try the over the counter stuff but if that doesn't work, call you doctor and ask for generic prilosec.

Wow, way to go my friend. I told you would lose more than me I am down 14 lbs and feeling a bit nausea at times too. I went to my family Dr the day I got back and have been under his care. He removed my stitches on Wednesday, drew blood to just test my nutrition levels, gave me a script for heartburn and nausea. I hope we figure this all out soon. I have been really tired with very little energy. Trying to drink as much as possible and every time I eat I don't feel so hot either.

I used zantac 75mg twice a day along with digel to calm the acid production. Your new tummy produces lots while you heal. You should be able to contact d almanzas office and speak with his nurses or a patient coordinator for help with post op issues!

I was told to take an RX acid reducer one a day for a month whether I need it or not. I had a lot of scripts to fill before surgery so I was covered for whatever came up.

Acid reflux ? I'm going to drink some Kangen Alkaline water only . DRINK NO BOTTLED WATER IT IS HIGHLY ACIDIC.. I invested in this water technology because a friend of mine who went to MIT raves about it. I also juice daily with ginger, mint and kale. I'm also working with bariatric nutritionist.
