I'm almost 6 weeks out now and I'm feeling better all the time. I was tired a couple weeks ago still and thinking "when is this ever going to get better?" But I AM getting my energy back, and I did go through a stall at about 3-4 weeks. Then all the sudden at 5 weeks I started losing again. I've been exercising more, and feel better now. I have had some depression about the whole thing partly because heading into the surgery it's like heading into Christmas and you think it's all going to be great right away. The surgery isn't a magic pill that changes all wrongs in your life. Things take time to heal - physically and emotionally!

I know alot of people are saying similar stuff and I am sure it is hard to hear that things will get easier but they really do. Right around the 4-6 week mark I felt the same way I was sick of being on liquids, I was exhausted, I felt like crap, I couldn't get enough fluid in could'nt get my protein in, my blood work came back HORRIBLE. I really felt awful. I started eating mushies and soft foods and although my energy started to come back the weight loss stopped. After about 3 weeks of no weight loss I questioned was this the right thing. Then I downloaded an app to track my diet and intake. I noticed I wasn't getting enough protein. I also downloaded an app that that tells you nutritional info and just reading that stuff became very informative.
I am now almost 4 months out, I am down 85lbs and everyday I am learning something new about what is good for me waht isn't etc. It is still a challenge but I am finding it easier and easier and I have zero regrets. My life has changed, don't get me wrong I have my nibble on things that I shouldn't or a sip on this or even alcohol but I am doing it so minimally I am just living my life.
It will get better! Hang in there,
    Christina

Hi Roman. I am only 12 days out from surgery so while I'm still on liquids I very much understand what you're feeling. The thing I am trying to remember is that the sleeve is a tool, it is not a miracle. I found myself obsessed with these message boards before surgery and when I came home from Mexico, which is where i got my sleeve done, and I felt hunger I thought I was going to have a panic attack........I was under the impression there was to be no hunger!!! The thing I'm learning is that we are all different. Are you exercising at all? Walking is highly under estimated and trust me, here in GA it is just freaking hot and humid but I take my dog out two to three times a day for a total of about 1-2 miles a day.

If you can handle this surgery, you can handle anything. Do not freak out. God has an awesome plan for you. I think we all come out of surgery thinking we're gonna be this hot tamale within a month. Have faith in yourself and the process and before you know it, you will be at your goal.
