Sorry you are having a rough recovery. The day of my surgery I woke up in pain and felt miserable. I was 100% sure I had made a horrible decision. The next day I was nauseous and still in pain; I hadn't slept a wink and I was dehydrated (yep, while in the hospital I got dehydrated). But once they hung some extra fluid and I started moving I started feeling better. I was only 80% sure I had made the wrong choice, lol. Everyday got easier and by the end of the first week I had zero doubt. Now, I feel amazing and this this was the best decision I have ever made. Hang in there, it will get easier.

Like everyone has said, you don't want to dehydrate. If your urine become very dark in color, that is a sign on dehydration. Get to a hospital and get an IV. I didn't have any problems, except when I got a cold at 5 weeks post op. I took some liq. Tylenol and sipped too much and vomited. I couldn't even keep water down for most of one day. That is the only time I got sick. I was worried about dehydration, but my urine was still light in color. Next day I was able to keep everything down.

I'm 7+ weeks post op now and doing great, although I have not tried too many different foods. I'm very cautious.

Good luck and keep us posted on your health.

I love water, but it gets old, so I have a supply of SoBe Lifewater. There's many different flavors. My favs are strawberry Dragonfruit, Yumberry Pomegranate and Black and Blue Berry. All 3 come in a case sold at Costco. Walmart sells individual bottles but some of the flavors didn't sit well with me.

It isn't so bad to fix - it was just the opening was swollen and nothing could go through - they put a balloon in and opened it up. Most people don't take 8 weeks - but with all my other health issues, I had a tough time.

Don't freak out - I'm so very glad I had it done, and I told myself the entire time that it would get better, just took time. I wasn't in a great deal of pain or anything, I just 'felt bad' - but I wasn't getting enough protein because I wasn't able to find a shake I would drink, they all tasted horrible to me. I also wasn't drinking enough - so there were a lot of factors going on.

Hi there.....had my op 15 days ago...........and yes i too thought "What have i done"......it gets easier!!!! every day.
Now i have been out a few times, love people saying how well i look. Lost quite a few pounds. Currently no matter how slowly i sip a protein drink...it dumps. Which i have to say is a horrible feeling, but so was being hugely overweight and all the health problems that brings. I am delighted to have lost weight already..............and I know in a very short time i will feel and look amazing!!! Thats what keeps us all going !!
Good luck and stay focused..............dont stress about it!!! Good days are only around the corner x x x

You made the right decision if you want to be a healthy, normal sized person. It is seriously worth a few days of uncomfort!! When I was fat I was miserable every day. After I recovered from surgery (about one week) I have felt wonderful.
