Starting Liquid Diet Today

The day is finally here to begin the liquid diet. I am a little excited to start and finish knowing I will be sleeved the next day after. Another reason is to see how much weight I will lose on the two week liquid diet. Can some of you guys tell me how much weight was lost on your liquid diet? Thanks for all the information.

I was initially advised to do a three week pre-op diet, but since I have so much to lose I was cleared by my medical team to do it for 5 weeks. I dropped 62 lbs.

Hello...I dropped.about a lb a day..it was a.little difficult for me.....but stick with it.....its a jump.start to shrinking your liver!

I lost 8 lbs. and gained exactly 8 lbs. in the hospital! All those IV fluids.

I was only on my pre-op for 2 days prior to surgery, I think because I had lost 40 pounds prior to surgery. For the first time in my life I tried a low carb diet (suggested to lose the fat around my liver) and it really worked. The first time that I lost that spare tire above my belly button. I also came out of the hospitial weighing more than when I went in. Don't let that depress you, it will come right back off.
