Default How can you tell you are full?

I just started on puree yesterday, this am I had a tiny bit of Greek yogurt and this afternoon a full 1/4 cup of cottage cheese with unflavored whey protein. Tonight I made pureed chicken with a little cream of mushroom soup to make it more palatable. And I'm afraid to eat it.
I DONT WANT TO THROW UP. So far nothing but the shakes but has bothered me and that was just lots of tummy noise and what I guess are "the foamies" after an ounce. The cipro I'm on for my incisional abscess bothers me just like that and I have to struggle to keep that down.
So I guess my question is, how do I know if I'm full when I'm not hungry to begin with?

When Im getting full or full I get a lump in my throat or I feel a tightness in my sleeve. Both of which I hate the feeling of. I am trying to hard to figure out my limit so I can avoid it. Trial and error.

Yes the feeling of feeling full has changed. I have never felt any nausea, how ever I have had that lump in the throat feeling more than once when I eat to fast; its very uncomfortable. Sometimes, I jump up and down and the food will move into my stomach.

And your are absolutely correct with regards to the tightness in the sleeve, I dislike this the most. It hurts... However it keeps me on track..... You have to work the sleeve and find out what feeling FULL is to you.......

I get a bit tight right under my breastbone in the center of my chest. Also, if I have taken one bite too many, I start to salivate.

I know when I can't take one more mouthful as I begin to get the tightness in the pouch and feel like if I take even a sip of water I will vomit. It happens when I eat too fast. ( usually dinner) so I just purchased a new item called the Hapifork. This electronic fork will light red and vibrate if you take another bite within a specified time frame (I think its. 10-12 seconds or so). This fork is also supposed to sync with your iPhone and can do a lot of coaching etc. however I have been unable to sync it. It usually takes that heavy feeling a good half hour yo go away. It is a very uncomfortable feeling. I'm 5 months out and did great over the holidays. I'm down 53 lbs and am halfway to my goal and feel just as motivated today as when I had the surgery. Happy new year to all of my fellow sleevers!

This took me a while. I never threw up instead I got the burpies... sometimes, bad. After a while, when I learned to slow down while I was eating, I noticed that I get a little rumble/growl in my stomach and if I stop eating then I find that I am very satisfied and don't get the burpies. Because I am somewhat slow, I have testing this out a few times but eventually my stubborn self got the message.

I agree...I get a lump in my throat...feels like if I eat more I will barf....it is also just uncomfortable all the way down. In my mind I visualize being out of room and it is all backing up...That alone grosses me out so it keeps me in check...Also....They tell us not to drink for 30 mins afterwards for a reason....(found this out the hard way)....Water came up as quick as it went down....It was as if my tummy says..."hey I have no more room dummy"..
