Well I have not been on this web site for a long time as it is a little depressing to read about everyone else's success when I just can't seem to move that scale. When I went for my one year checkup my doctor was surprised with how little I have lost and how hard I am really trying. I ate 1200 calories a day and did 2 hours of water exercise 6 days a week plus did 1/2 to 1 hour every other day on an exercise bike. But the scale wont move. According to the charts at my weight is should have a RMR resting metabolism rate of around 2400 calories and with all the exercise I do I should have lost at least 3 pounds a week. Well he tested my RMR and sure enough it is super low. I had always felt my metabolism must be super slow. My RMR was only half of what it should be and why I'm losing so darn slow. I think now my PCP will finally have to refer me to an endocrinologist now that I have proof that something just isn't right. He was reluctant to refer me and thought I just was overeating or not exercising or both. I wish my PCP would just listen to me and my surgeon.
Well enough complaining and to look forward to a great NEW YEAR.
Happy and Healthy New Year to all of you.
