Did you get your period shortly after surgery? it's about 5 days early and it's a good thing I was home resting!What else should I expect? I know about the hair loss but any other quirky things I should be aware of?
Oh, Also! every since surgery my eyesight has changed...totally weird! but, I may now need bifocals? (I'm 37 btw)

Nothing crazy here so far just my sense of Smell is crazy alert
Height - 5'9"
1st goal: 255 - check
2nd goal: Surgery.. set for December 2nd - check
3rd goal: 245 by surgery - check
4th goal: 210 would really like 200 by Christmas
(Didn't hit this one!! Oh well soon)
5th goal: Onederland - CHECK
6th goal: 170 (Normal) BMI - CHECK
7th goal: 155 My goal!!! woohoo

i got my period and it was immediately after surgery, like on day 5 or 7. It wasnt normal but it lasted a long time.

i got mine after surgery as well and it's 2 weeks early! and super heavy. Figured it was from the blood thinners. but yea was like sigh seriously?!

Do you have diabetes? Blood sugar fluctuations can cause vision issues. Please check with your primary care doctor for sudden vision changes.

I was on my period during surgery, finished and then started spotting again a couple of day later. As for your eye sight, I think hormone changes can effect it, but I wouldn't think it would be that fast. I'm with Think, it may be your blood sugar or a side effect of a medication you've been given.

Thanks for all the info ladies! Good to know I am not alone on the period thing. I'm going to shoot an email to my Dr. nurse tomorrow about the vision change. My sugar levels have always been normal and I've never been diabetic. Such a new world this is

I read somewhere that estrogen in stored in fat cells. So when you lose weight you release all that stored up hormone. It can mess with your cycle but should straighten out.

Oh yes... I had 2 periods in one month after my surgery. I think it was just hormonal and everything is back on track now.

I went 3 months without it and it came 2 days before surgery and lasted 12 long days. I'm hoping it regulates somewhat now.
Sleeved with my husband on 11/26/13! Together through it all

I got my period 2 days after surgery. Since the second one after surgery they have been problematic!
Starting weight: 207
Day of surgery 9/16/13: 195
Day released from hospital 9/18/13: 210
First follow up appt. 9/24: 200
Second post op appt. 10/1: 188
Third post op appt. 11/12: 176
Fourth post op appt: 2/20/14: 155
I can do all things through Christ who strengths me.

Yes, I think it arrive the day I got home or the day after. Not fun
The only other strange thing I can think of is that your feet might change size. I never thought about my feet losing weight. LOL
