My DR was telling me that he would only have to do 1 incision. He goes through belly button. Has anyone else had this? He said when it heals scar would be inside belly button.

never heard of it...the cut then need to get the tools in there are bigger then the belly button...Do some more research. Good luck on your journey.

I have heard of this. If I recall correctly, I think that was how kaygee's surgery was done. It mystifies me how they can do that in one incision, but apparently they can and do.

well that is wild. I have never heard of such a thing. I dont see how, but just because I have not heard of it does not mean they cant do it like that. That is very interesting and I am going to check it out. Not that it really matter in MY personal situation because I was sleeved with 5 incisions on 9/24. I also have a lot of previous scar tissue so was just happy enough to have it laprascopically

Hmmm that's a new one to me.....I've been told 4-5 little ones and wha la its all done. I might just have to investigate that!!!

Cant say I have heard of that done before. As for me I was told 5 incisions. 1 would be fantastic though. Surgery is advancing so quickly these days. Im sure its possible.

There is a procedure out there called "single incision gastric sleeve" - you can google that if you want. Basically it's a new kind of laproscopic hardware called 'spider'. This means that they can do the surgery in a single incision. I'm not sure I would have wanted it done that way since the pain I had out of my big incision was enough and wouldn't have necessarily wanted the tools in there as well. But yes, it's a real thing.
