Hey has anyone who has been sleeved past a year noticed that you can eat more food than you used to be able to eat? I am eating more and feeling hungry sometimes. That is starting to worry me a little. Is this normal?
Yes, I am able to eat more and am 14 months post op. I have about 10lbs till goal but exercising more and my number 1 rule still follows: Protein first not the liquid kind! My hunger leaves and I get full very fast. I continue to make healthy choices and am truly satisfied. I know that if I choose slider foods, weight gain will follow. Stay focused and good luck!

I am two years, and I noticed that I feel hungry most of the time, I try to drink more and eat more fruits and veg with fiber, but I feel hungry most of the time! I have gained back about 3 lbs, I try hard to watch what I eat and drink, but somedays I want to eat! but after a few bites I am full so I guess that isn't to bad. today my stomach has growled all morning, and I could eat anything! so for lunch I am having a bowl of hot soup, I hope that this will settle down the tiger in my stomach. moderation is all I can say at this point,
Yes, I can definitely eat more than before. And if I eat refined carbs, I can eat more throughout the day.
Sleeve stretch a little over time according to my surgeon.
Eat protein first. Don't drink before and after. Limit bad carbs (bread, rice, pasta, potato, sweets).
Me too - I am able to eat more and it worries me. I have to commit to exercise each day to avoid weight gain because I do eat more. I walk 5 miles a day for sure but even so it is hard to maintain my weight loss without a pound or two fluctuation. Best wishes to all of us to keep our weight off for the long haul!
I can eat more some days and other days seems like a couple bites and I am full. It seems like the less I eat and the less I snack the quicker I feel full and less I eat when it's time to eat. Protein and veggies are priority, couple bites of carbs if there's room and feel like having any. I never drink liquids w meals and I haven't had a single DROP Of pop. I don't drink alcoholic beverages but a handful of times per year. I have a whole fruit smoothie almost every day in my VitaMix, focus on food for fuel and it's coming into treat season, so I have had more lately, but I try not to have stuff in the house, because it's hard to resist.
Thank you, felt dumb not knowing....I love all those things, trying yo just eat proteins and veggies now....my problem seems to be at night while watching TV...not hungry, just want to chew...wonder if they make human chew toys...my Yorkie is not into sharing hers...LOL
