I start my pre-surgery liquid diet tomorrow, so today on the way home from work I just had to stop for my last 99 cent bag of carmels from Walgreens. I get them home only to find them rock hard, expired April 2013. That will teach me.

lol, that sounds like one of my stories. I guess it wasnt meant to be! Thats ok, you can buy carmel flavored chewable calcium plus D at Target or Wal Mart ( anywhere I am sure) and they are good! So see, you dont have to give it up, just a little bit in a different form but not much different!
It does not have to be your last candy ever. I treat my self to Russel Stovers sugar free chocolate covered caramels once in a while. And if I am craving CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE I buy a "muscle brownie" and it is sooooo good plus has 20 grams of protein, pair with a glass of skim milk and it adds more protein( obviously you have to make it one or two meals or a few snack due to its large size) There is no protein taste or vitamin taste in the muscle brownie and I get them at Kroger but I know you can get them online as well.
Hmm....just so happens hubby works for Russell Stover, so I'll have a supplier!
