Fishing line poking up through incision?????

So my sterie strip came off and I have a small but very annoying and poky peice of fishing line sticking out of my incision wtf?

The joy of invisible stitches. Don't whatevery you do play with it. You can cause really bad scarring and may form a keyloid. Talk to your surgeon. They may elect to simply cut the remaining thread after a few days of the wound healing.

I was just to my surgeon today! Wish I would have seen it before lol It was kind of a shock! I won't play with it I promise I put a bandaid on it to ensure that because otherwise I KNOW i'd want to! Calling Dr. tomorrow thanks!

I had that to..? Im like WTH is this whyyyyy cauz the doc put some weird glue to close me up so im wondering since they dont take any stitches out we have fishin line to remain in our Bellies??
I took some small clippers an clipped it as close i could without gettn my incision.

What you seeing is a suture. It's for the inside when he stitched the layers of tissue under the skin. It is very common and will disolve and fall off in a couple weeks or sooner. Cover it so it doesn't catch on anything.

That's spot on, dociceit. The reason I said don't play is because if you pull it you can overtighten the underlying stitches.

It may not tighten it. It may pull it free. Sorta popped the stitch so to speak.
